Photo tour of the IIDF office

After the resumption of the IIDF blog on Habré, we thought about telling you about the offline life of the Fund. In this topic, we will conduct for our readers a photo tour of the Foundation’s office, accelerator and coworking. Kirill Varlamov, director of the Fund, believes that Russian startups should be comfortable at home - this, and more precisely, the physical component of comfort, will be discussed in today's post.

PS Caution ~ 30mb pictures under the cut.

    Fund

IIDF City (actually, IIDF office and accelerator, as well as coworking) are located in Silver City business center (metro Kurskaya). It looks like a business center from the inside (in addition to IIDF, there are a dozen other companies, a gym and a small coffee shop in the atrium of the BC):

The entire office, coworking and accelerator space is very unusual in design - the walls are painted with thematic sketches, similar to watercolor-ink sketches. At first glance, it seems that to completely decorate the walls of such a rather large space with an artistic painting (the Foundation’s premises total 3,000 square meters) is a titanic task. Not only are there really a lot of drawings, but they also differ in themes: for example, coworking walls are decorated with sketches with different sports, the Foundation and accelerator's meetings are decorated in accordance with the names.

Moreover, for the meeting rooms of the Foundation’s office, the emphasis in the names (and, accordingly, in the design) is on creating a calm atmosphere that is thought-provoking: “Music Studio”, “Square”, “Library”. But for the negotiating accelerator, the names chosen were emphasized dynamically: “Airport”, “Station”, “Crossroads” - all these nuances had to be captured and transmitted when painting the premises so that they tuned to the selected wave. And the artists Vlad Vasiliev and Anton Dolgov coped with the task perfectly. It took them only a month to decorate the premises, however, sometimes artists had to spend the night right at the workplace - in the FRII office.

The design of the IIDF meeting rooms is fully consistent with the name - it is impossible to make a mistake when searching for a planned meeting place.

    “Library” (Foundation's

room ): “Station” (IIDF meeting room accelerator): There is even a micro-gym - a horizontal bar on the premises of the Foundation. They installed it at the end of one of the corridors, far from the negotiation and workplaces - you can calmly warm up and still not bother anyone.

The permanent resident of the Foundation’s office is Startup Cat. After appearing in the IIDF group in the social. Odnoklassniki networks of the hero of the group - the owls Frinyashi, the Foundation team thought about acquiring a real living little friend. The choice was stopped on a cat. The name for the pet was born instantly, but the breed was chosen for a long time - in the end, they decided to get a Scotsman.

A few days before the cat appeared in the office, the first persons of the Fund announced an investment in a startup (it would be more correct to say, in a startup), which no one has. Publications greatly fueled public interest - and the post about the cat became one of the most popular in the history of IIDF on social networks (for our photo, Startup had to interrupt lunch - he was dissatisfied, but worked out a photo shoot as a real professional).

The Fund’s office is designed for 80 people - employees work surrounded by pleasant things that set up a working atmosphere.

And in moments of rest, employees, if desired, can take a shower (in combination with a horizontal bar, an excellent combo is obtained to maintain a healthy lifestyle without leaving the office).

    Accelerator

Accelerator FRII - a large open space, designed for 40 teams. The entrance to the accelerator is preceded by the next thematic painting.

Acceleration teams have access to small meeting rooms - “telephone booths” with comfortable ottomans and excellent sound insulation.

The accelerator's kitchen - the room, in comparison with typical office kitchens, is quite roomy - if you wish, you can warm up lunch, drink tea, chat with colleagues and at the same time not to bother anyone or push around.

And for those who literally burn all day at work, there is the opportunity to spend the night without leaving the office - a special sleep room is designed for this. A sign hangs on its door warning visitors that it is necessary to behave as you enter there as quietly as possible - there is a possibility that someone is already resting there.

In the mini-lecture hall of the accelerator, traction rallies, master classes, trainings and meetings with experts are held.

    Coworking

At the entrance to the FRII coworking, where the #tceh startup space is located, you will be met by a small master Yoda, and with him, administrators who will help you accommodate in the coworking and answer all questions.

In addition to jobs in coworking, there is a lounge area with board games and a “bookshelf” with bestsellers from the fields of business literature, programming and design - the list may not be exhaustive, but nonetheless useful.

Coworking capacity is 200 people. There is a small kitchen, meeting rooms and a punching bag - all to create a pleasant atmosphere of openness and productive work.

In addition to the Foundation’s office, accelerator and coworking, IIDF also has a separate platform on the ground floor of the business center - City Hall. This is a multimedia conference room with a capacity of 250 people, where all the major events of the Fund are held. There, for example, an open futurological session “Key Trends in the Development of the Internet” was held at the forum “Internet Entrepreneurship in Russia”, the “PRohvost” award for the most interesting achievements in the world of PR, master classes and events from #tceh. In addition, every 3 months there is training a new set of accelerator.

We invite everyone to an excursion to #tceh and City Hall, and do not forget to follow our blog on Habré!
