Free electricity for your Tesla? It's simple

It seems that the owners of gas stations may begin to slowly panic. The fact is that electric cars are becoming more and more, the same Tesla are becoming more accessible, and with the spread of a new public initiative in the UK, then electric refueling may not be needed.

In any case, the project has great potential. The project is to launch a public program to create free fueling points for the batteries of their cars throughout the country. So, two owners of Tesla Model S, Adam Fozitt and Tom Fitzgerbert, decided to ensure that owners of electric cars can charge each other's batteries for free. And the idea itself arose during a general meeting of electric car owners in one of the pubs in Henley-on-Thames. To turn plans into reality, “colleagues” created a communityTesLowJuice . Community members can replenish batteries at public gas stations, which are equipped by car owners themselves at home. Thus, paid refueling becomes unnecessary.

Any interested owner of an electric car can join the community. First of all, you need to register on the site, leave your coordinates and some other data. Of course, at home you need to already have an equipped electric car refueling point. Thus, any other owner of the electric car, driving their coordinates on the community website, can get information about the nearest points of free refueling.

Participants leave a description of the most conspicuous places near their homes so that they can be more easily found.

Now the community has only 66 users and 50 points of free charging electric vehicles (so far only owners of Tesla Model S or Roadster are accepted into the community). Most likely, after a series of publications about this initiative, similar networks will appear in other countries, and in the UK the size of the community “refuel your Tesla for free” will only increase.
