Netflix made a quick counterpart to Speedtest.net

Now without Flash and without ads

    Nothing more

For many users, Speedtest.net has long been the main tool for measuring the bandwidth of its Internet channel. Measurements can be carried out both from the desktop and from a mobile device - and for smartphones and tablets for Android and iOS there is an application.

The problem is that the main site of the service has not been called fast for a long time. Flash and advertising greatly complicate the lives of users - the average hand of a PC no longer always manages to adequately display this resource, and if the computer is slow, then measuring the speed of the Internet channel can turn into torture. Netflix recently introduced its own lunapark service, which allows you to evaluate the bandwidth of your Internet channel. DesignThe service’s website is as minimal as possible. Measurement takes only a few seconds, not more.

Plus there is no advertising (at least not yet). Plus, the new service supports IPv6. Measurement is performed using proprietary Netflix servers. The measurement results, as far as one can judge, are almost the same for Speedtest.net and Fast.com.

    In the measurement process,

there are also disadvantages. This is the use of JavaScript, work immediately after opening the site without confirmation, plus there is no way to measure the bandwidth of the outgoing channel.

And this is the same service when working with a mobile device

The service works in any country, it is completely free for everyone - it does not matter whether the user is a Netflix subscriber or not.
