Card thieves come up with a skimmer in the doorway

Fraudsters have come up with a new way to steal data from your bank card, which you use at an ATM. Instead of trying to attach a skimmer to the ATM itself, they place it on the door that blocks access to the room with ATMs. These doors can be opened with a card during non-bank hours. Fraudsters install a skimmer in the door, and when it opens the door, it reads the necessary information from the magnetic strip. A video camera that removes a set of pin codes, as usual, is located in the area of ​​the ATM.



Fraudsters again remind us of the need to constantly be vigilant. We are already used to checking card acceptors of ATMs for skimmers (trying not to think about the fact that skimmers are now placed inside the slot of the card acceptor) and block the pin input keyboard with your hand.
