Officials will be allowed to use the internet anonymously

According to the Ministry of Communications, the anonymous use of the Internet by officials will eliminate threats to the security of the Russian Federation:

To introduce the anonymity of public servants using the Internet, the Ministry of Communications offers to amend the Rules for the provision of telematic communication services and the Rules for the provision of communication services for data transfer.

The Ministry of Communications and Mass Media proposes to remove from the agreements with telecom operators that are concluded by public authorities, a clause on the disclosure of the data of their employees using the Internet. For other corporate users, this requirement remains.
