How much should your SaaS cost? I analyzed 1530 services and received such graphs
Pricing SaaS services is tricky. The slightest mistake can easily cost you a fortune in the long run. Therefore, it is difficult to overestimate the need to analyze competitors in your niche and the average price level in the hospital.
But there is good news - I have already done this analysis for you (at least in some niches) and bring to your attention a scattering of color pictures that are drawn based on an analysis of 1,530 prices of various services.
A little bit about how to read the graphs below. When I try to understand how much my SaaS application should cost users per month, I start by collecting the prices of my competitors and building their distribution histograms. The peaks in this histogram indicate price segments that are in a particular niche.
By the way, the absence of a clear peak where it should be may signal that we have a clear opportunity to enter this market. For example, it might look like this:
A few words about how the data were generated for plotting. We have compiled a list of global SaaS services, grouped by niche. We walked through each of them and extracted their minimum monthly use price. They converted it into dollars, if initially there was something else. Discarded free options and those that cost more than $ 500. And got such results.

Of course, such an analysis is not a panacea for incorrect pricing. However, this is a good starting point for starting your own pricing experiments in your niche. And the presence of such statistics will greatly narrow the number of options for testing.
I hope this little statistic will be useful to you when making decisions, just as it was useful to me.
