3CX brings together Elastix and PBX in a Flash communities
Not so long ago, immediately two popular manufacturers of Asterisk assemblies announced that the next versions of their systems will work on the 3CX core! We welcome and take pride in the fact that the vast 3CX community has joined the vast communities of Elastix and PBX in a Flash !
Both manufacturers have been considering replacing the system core for some time. The previous version of PBX in a Flash ran on Asterisk and FreePBX and was subject to licensing restrictions . A similar situation exists with version 4 of the Elastix system .
With the release of the 3CX version for Linux, it turned out to be useful to bring together communities and developers to produce truly first-class products. Ready-made assemblies for deploying bare-metal exchanges received a new technological core.
Both assemblies were already very popular on the market - for example, only Elastix has more than 100,000 registered installations and tens of thousands of daily downloads of the free version. Therefore, we will try to take into account the wishes of existing users. For example, now a convenient migration mechanism is available for Elastix users - Elastix to 3CX configuration converter . We also invite all existing Elastix and PBX in a Flash partners to continue to maintain existing partnerships. You should have received an e-mail with the relevant information. But if you did not receive it, fill out the partner registration form and get an NFR license here .
Elastix and PBX in a Flash users receive a perpetual free license for 8 simultaneous calls (organization for approximately 25 users). For this:

In conclusion, we quote the heads of companies:
Edgar Landivar, CEO Palosanto (ELastix): “We have been looking for a replacement for the existing switching core for some time. ATS 3CX is a simple, open and full of new features system. The development of the Linux version and the availability of a free edition make it an excellent choice for Elastix 5. We are especially impressed with the integrated video conferencing on WebRTC technologies. I’m sure that Elastix users will benefit from this solution. ”
Ward Mundy, developer of PBX in a Flash: “We had difficulty developing the next version of PBX in a Flash, given the marketing steps taken by FreePBX. 3CX for Linux offers an excellent unified communications solution while guaranteeing easy installation, minimal administration and excellent security. A simple licensing scheme and the availability of a free version are almost ideal for PBX in a Flash users. PBX in a Flash developers unanimously chose 3CX as their best platform for PIAF5. ”
