AFK Sistema may sell NVision IT integrator to MTS
Until 2013, the company was controlled by Rostelecom. Further, from 2013 to 2015, the shares of NVision were bought in parts by AFK Sistema. First, she bought a 50% stake in the integrator from Rostelecom. In October 2013, the chairman of the board of directors of the Tsargrad group of companies, Konstantin Malofeev, bought back a 25% stake in the integrator from its founders Alexei Glotov, Dmitry Taraba and Anton Sushkevich. In 2014, Sistema bought back a 38.75% stake from Malofeev and the founders of NVision, increasing its stake to 88.75%. In January 2015, Sistema brought its stake to 100%. After the transaction, NVision received a valuation of $ 88 million.
It is worth noting that AFK Sistema also owns 51.46% of MTS.
In the period from 2009 to 2012, NVision mainly worked with Rostelecom. However, in 2013, the proportion of orders from the operator decreased to 32%, and then to 25.7%.
The integrator developed a billing system for MTS. In 2012, NVision's revenue from MTS orders reached 14 billion rubles, which amounted to 24% of the integrator’s total revenue. In 2013, this share rose to 38%, reports CNews.
The volume of MTS annual payments to the integrator for its work amounted to $ 75 - 350 million. Based on this, Renaissance Capital analysts suggested that MTS could acquire NVision for no more than 20 billion rubles.
In March, the ex-head of the MTS branch in the Urals, Sergey Kuzmin, became the president of NVision Group. He replaced Vyacheslav Smirnov at this post, reportedComnews Edition. In his new position, Sergey Kuzmin will be responsible for improving the company's operational and financial performance, developing IT services and services in the markets that are priority for the company.
Last year, NVision introduced a new strategy: in two to four years, the company planned to consolidate Sistema's IT assets. As a result of this, it was assumed that the share of intelligent services and own developments in the income structure of the integrator would increase. In addition, NVision planned to build its own data center to deploy cloud services and create a new business line.
