A year-long joke in a computer game or forensic history

More than a year ago there was an article from soulburner about a guy who they wanted to prosecute for a joke in the game . Although, why "wanted"? The case is still pending ...

I recall that nineteen-year-old Carter from New Braunfels, Texas, who was a professional (?) Player in LoL, was arrested in February 2013 for commenting on Facebook:
I think Ima shoot up a kindergarten / And watch the blood of the innocent rain down / And eat the beating heart of one of them.

Yes, many publications wrote that the dialogue took place in the game itself, but in fact it happened on the pages in FB. I think if this dialogue took place in the game itself, the guy would have blown away.
According to Carter’s lawyer, the remark was “sarcastic and satirical” in response to a message from one Facebook member in which the person wrote that Carter was “crazy.” Canada has creaked this dialogue and sent to the appropriate services. As a result, the guys went and arrested.

Perhaps many people are absolutely not interested in this situation. I followed how the story develops. Judging by the petition , the last pre-trial hearing was March 28th. After which there were no updates.

According to gamefront'y, the trial itself will be held on June 23. I wonder how the story ends. But judging by the fact that the case has been going on for more than a year, we can assume its outcome ...
