Update for backdoor in Linksys and Netgear routers

    image

In early January , a vulnerability was found in Linksys and Netgear routers that could allow full access to the device, including the root shell.

In the updates released after this, as it turned out, the backdoor was not fixed, but masked. And if earlier it was activated along with the launch of the system, now to activate it you need to send an ethernet packet of a special type. Thus, now it can only be used if you are an Internet service provider or are on the same local network as a router.

Among the new functions of the backdoor, the ability to blink LEDs should be noted.
