Tizen SDK for Wearable released

Earlier, we already managed to talk about the new wearable devices Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo and their functions . But today we are pleased to announce the release of an instrument for developing applications for smart watches! Introducing the Tizen SDK for Wearable, now available for download . This is only the first beta, but it has everything you need: both the familiar Eclipse IDE and the QEMU emulator.

The SDK is very similar to the Tizen SDK with all the features, and the interaction is through the Samsung Accessory Protocol . Through SAP, you can manage music, transfer notifications and files, search for your phone and much more.

Offers an almost complete Web API optimized for wearable devices. It includes WebKit and runtime for web applications. Most interesting features supported (full list available here ):

- Page visibility API: “webkit” prefix is now removed (for example, webkitvisibilitychange has become visibilitychange)
- File Reader API: BlobBuilder is deprecated and replaced by Blob object
- Indexed DB flag changed: from multientry to multiEntry

- Alarm, Application, Bluetooth, Filesystem, System Information, Power
