Caution! Reality. The reality that is outside the windows of our apartments and the walls of houses. A reality that offers us challenges that the state is not able to answer. Only we, progressive youth, can answer these challenges.
I worked as a teacher, organizer teacher, head of the scientific and technical department and acting Director at the House of Children's Creativity in the Oktyabrsky District of Yekaterinburg. I created a studio for 3D modeling and 3D printing for children and adolescents, which had an extremely high demand, especially against the background of other associations - macramé, aircraft modeling, etc. The video can be viewed below. In the course of work, I had to face enormous difficulties of an administrative-bureaucratic nature. After analyzing them, I realized that the school system and the system of additional education are not just overloaded with bureaucracy, it is in a systemic crisis, which is caused by:
1. The isolation of teachers from the modern post-industrial, market and industrial economy.Teachers and teachers of schools are state employees who simply do not see, feel or know what world they live in. These are people of the long gone socialist era who simply cannot teach children about life in the modern world.
2. The Institute of Education is shut down from the production process. Pupils today are simply overwhelmed by knowledge divorced from reality that is not applicable and even harmful. The education system does not have the opportunity to get involved in the production economy - there is no legislative basis for this, and if at least one school starts to produce something, then a criminal case will be instituted against the directors. Today's obsession with the Unified State Examination kills everything creative in children, or kills their future if the Unified State Examination is not passed.
3. There are no strong players interested in the education system.Previously, graduates went to industrial enterprises, but now they simply disperse into small businesses, serving the character, with completely atrophied brains. In the best case, they can open their own business. Only the most talented can rebel against their education and defeat it. Neither business nor government are interested in high-quality school education. But what about the parents? Most parents take their children to school as if they were a “child storage bank."
4. Failure of continuity of generations.The last bastions of engineering knowledge - Soviet engineers are aging and dying. Today Kalashnikov died. These people tried to convey their knowledge, but now they are not there. Together with me in the House of Children's Creativity, the only teacher in sports modeling (designing ships, aircraft), Anatoly Petrovich Tropin, worked in Yekaterinburg; in 2013, he turned 70 years old. In the coming years, there will be no real engineers in the education system. Schoolchildren already have no one to teach elementary.
5. Young entrepreneurs have nothing to do at school.As already mentioned, the school does not imply ANY involvement in the real economy, so anyone who wants to work there should put up with beggarly salaries and the lack of the possibility of creative scientific and technical self-realization. Adequate people do not go to schools, but strangely enough, technically, schools are equipped well. I myself have seen whole racks of new sets for robotics, children's turning lathes-designers who are waiting for their decommissioning. There is simply no one to work on the new equipment (MAOU secondary school No. 128, Ekaterinburg).
The educational structure of CMIT is deprived of the insanity of the school, and besides, as a factory of ideas, business needs it.
In any case, in the foreseeable future, the institution of the school will have to either be dismantled or modernized. Perhaps he will be replaced by CMIT.
The world is now completing, and according to some sources, the process of globalization of the economy has been completed. The old economic system and economic growth was based on the expansion of markets, for these markets there was a struggle and wars. Now that the world is global and markets can no longer expand, the economy is changing. Until now, demand has exceeded supply, and now supply exceeds demand in the global market. This means that the global market economy has come to an end. There are many consequences to this. Let us dwell on those that relate to Russia.
Russia sells oil and buys products, things, goods. Due to falling oil prices, Russia will not be able to purchase these products. In this case, there are 2 ways - either to die, or develop your own production and create your own domestic market. I see that a customs union is being created for this. So, Russia is choosing the path of its own market. The huge advantage of Russia in relation to developed countries is that domestic markets in Russia are free for their own producers, while they are already occupied in developed countries, so they will be depressed, but Russia will not. Russia is such a country that it seems that it can be technically developed, but somehow does not want it yet, then the crisis will enter an acute phase, oil will fall, and it will want to immediately.
The creation of CMIT is an anticipation of the situation and the creation of modern high-tech centers that can become generators of the products of the new economy - innovation.
In Russia, the movement of creative laboratories, fablabs, CMIT is gaining momentum. All centers are diverse, some of them are created by children on a voluntary basis, like clubs, and some at universities, as part of the innovative infrastructure.
I will give a list of CMIT, schools of robotics and related areas, which I have.

Most of the CMIT is organized by initiative groups, which aim to popularize scientific and technical creativity. And most of them were founded in the last 3-4 years, this may mean that a new trend is beginning - the trend of creating such scientific and technical laboratories. The process is still developing spontaneously, which is called "who is in the forest - who is by firewood." Someone gathers in the evenings as a club, someone creates courses in robotics, someone engages in innovation, someone simply fulfills orders for 3D printing, but somehow the promotion and structuring is still going on.
I’ll give a video about my 3D modeling studio, which I created, it was quite spontaneous, but the experience was positive:
The creation of CMIT is a very bright, interesting business. This is a matter of the future - production of innovations and work with youth. But even the brightest business stops or develops slowly if interest is not financially backed up. The question arises: how to make your CMIT a profitable business?
I developed and tested the organizational model of the CMIT. Using this model, it is guaranteed that you can reach positive momentum in the first 2-3 months of the center’s operation.
As an organization TSMIT is a joint center of the three directions:
1. Fulfillment of orders for 3D-printing, robotics, automation, and other applied engineering survey;
2. Engineering school for children, adolescents and adults;
3. Mini-production, producing small series of products.
Training at CMIT - subject. Children at the educational stage are involved in engineering, learn to develop and construct equipment, acquire entrepreneurial skills, thereby learning and preparing for their future adult life. But the engineering school is also of great benefit to other areas - the flow of ideas and the enthusiasm of children helps tremendously in creating innovation.
Direction 1 (Prototyping Center) is the initial base of CMIT - it brings a small stable income. Direction 2 (Engineering School) - generates income, but is mainly a factory of ideas for the production of innovations. direction 3 - (Mini-production) - this is the main organizational and financial part. All 3 directions are divorced in time and space so that a safe mode of operation of the center is ensured.
For those who create CMIT according to this model, or in some other way, there is always the opportunity to receive grants and other fundraising activities. In some cases, when the main focus is on education, grants and fundraising can become the main source of income.
A sketch of a business plan can be as follows:
1. Purchase of an average 3D printer
Costs -100 000 rubles
2. Fulfillment of orders for 3D printing (prototyping studio) and sale of plastic
Costs: Advertising -1000 - 3000 rubles / month Materials -3000 12000 rubles / month Income: 15,000 - 100,000 rubles / month
3. Conducting 3D modeling classes for children + teacher training and job placement for teachers
Costs: - 5,000 - 25,000 rubles / month (rent, salary) Income: 5,000 - 84,000 rub / month
4. There is an opportunity for participants, teachers, children, adolescents to produce small series of products - an innovative business.
There are no expenses. The profit is unpredictable.
My business business returned to payback, and then to a small plus already for 2-3 months of existence, while significant rental costs there is no space and advertising, because the business is very mobile - he took the printer in an armful and went. The classroom is rented by the hour. Printing can be done right at home. Who cares, he can conduct a study of the demand for 3D printing in his city and district through Yandex. You can also see the market of commercial continuing education in your city. If there is demand, go ahead. On the Web you can find materials and webinars on the topic of opening CMIT as a business.
Just list these problems. If you see more positive aspects of such a project, please write in the comments.
• Employment of children in their free time from school (prevention of drug addiction, crime, extremism);
• Engineering education of children and the elimination of scientific and technical illiteracy of the population;
• The problem of continuity of generations in the engineering sciences;
• The problem of engineering personnel in Russia and the transition to a post-industrial economic formation;
• The problem of the lack of social elevators and youth innovative entrepreneurship.
When you open your CMIT, it will immediately make you a tidbit for the media and government agencies. authorities. The media are very interested in everything unusual, vivid, in what the public may be interested in, including positive ones, such news also exists. Well, the authorities need real action - and you will only have such. In this way, you become a prominent figure in your area. These words can be confirmed by those who are already doing this. Further in your hands are all the opportunities for development wherever you want. All this makes the opening of CMIT a real-life social elevator, now open to engineers and educators.
Weapons printed by children
In my 3D modeling studio (Xmashina), children came up with the idea of a handheld pocket weapon. This is a crossbow shooting darts. I deliberately did not intervene in children's creativity and allowed the children to independently solve the questions: What should I do? What to model? How to name an invention. It was a rather bold experiment. The experiment ended with the launch of a new product on the market called "Pocket Crossbow" Eggstrel. " Ovum can act as a standalone device and as an accessory (cover) for a cell phone. I bring a screen of 3D models in a case for Iphone 5s without a harness and metal parts. This was one of the first experiments of children's invention, so it should not be judged strictly. Children simply splashed out what was inside them. Judging by the conversations of the children, the Eggel is designed exclusively for shooting at teachers, even for each teacher they made a separate dart. As a result, of course, not a single teacher was hurt - they regretted it. This information is provided solely to demonstrate the validity of the approach. A separate article will be devoted to training in my 3D modeling studio and the theme of the school of the future.

CMIT as a network project
I am ready to share my experience and knowledge in organizing 3D-modeling and 3D-printing studios, as well as CMIT in general.
We will do the network structure of centers throughout Russia. The centers themselves will be autonomous operating units with their own sites, legal entities, sovereignty, ideology, territorial and other features. We combine information resources - interfaces for communication with customers, state. structures, business. Such a structure is more productive.
Before you open your CMIT, think about it, maybe it’s worth it to immediately attach it to the existing network structure, because this will significantly save your money.
Consider the advantage of cooperation and the creation of a network company of independent centers.
Savings due to:
• Lower advertising costs;
• Reduced reputation costs;
• Lower organizational costs.
In the network structure, it is possible to duplicate your projects, it becomes possible to organize global projects, and communicate with like-minded people from other cities.
Summing up, I can only say that I sincerely believe that the future of Russian education, youth innovative entrepreneurship and the country's industrial potential depends on new forms of labor organization, and the CMIT is among the most promising.
