Call Santa Claus 2014

Last year, we launched Santa Claus phone , in total for the holidays we received more than 14,000 calls.

Subjective findings:

Technical

- The maximum that we managed to see is 38 calls at the same time;
- There were several logical errors in the code, as a result, Santa Claus hung or stuck in one phrase;
- We have accumulated a huge number of poems told by children on the phone;
- During the year, calls did not stop, 2 - 5 calls per day were stable, mainly schoolchildren called;
- Call mainly from mobile;
- Talking about the load with so many calls does not make sense, it was not;
- Closer to the new year, the number of calls to the number that we published a year ago is increasing;

Gifts

- Most girls ask Santa Claus dolls " Monster High ";
- The boys want a car on the remote;
- Adults - car, apartment, health;

General

- Many parents, thanks to a phone call to their grandfather, found out what the child wants for the new year;
- They called mainly from Yekaterinburg, since we connected the phone number only in this city;
- Using the phone number for other purposes will now fail;
- The most popular rhyme is "The fly landed on jam, that’s the whole poem";
- In general, Grandfather Frost brought a lot of joy and fun, both children and adults phoned;

What's new

1. We wanted to make Santa Claus even more interactive, with voice recognition and other goodies, but as shown by experiments on children with recordings that were made earlier, the modern scientific and technical base in the field of speech recognition available to us is not able to work at least somehow with children's voices and this is a problem. Therefore, it was decided to get the old code and put it in order, taking into account previous errors. This year, grandfather became more responsive and attentive.

2. We got numbers in 17 cities of Russia, thanks for this to our partners (operators), and especially Tatyana , for their active participation.
