[SURVEY] How do you feel about allocating Q&A into a separate project?
As, probably, everyone already knows, recently the Q&A section on the hub has turned into an independent project - the Toaster .
This was perceived ambiguously.
I personally have already had a few drawbacks compared to what it was before:
- It is more difficult to pick up tags
Previously, questions were shared by hubs. Of course, I didn’t remember everything for memory, but I could open the list and scroll through it, checking if there was something like that. But the hubs that interested me, I knew. Now questions are cataloged using tags. You don’t need to be seven spans in your forehead to understand what resource the tracing paper was taken from :) Maybe it will be more convenient over time, but now it’s more difficult for me to use.
- Search became more complicated
Previously, if I was looking for something on the hub, usually there were a couple of necessary posts and a couple of questions. In sum, they quite fully covered the topic that interests me. Now, questions need to be done a separate search. By the way, at the moment, the relevant search on the Toaster does not work so hot.
- There is no connection of accounts
Previously, as people said in the comments, it was possible to quickly get out of the minus, giving good answers to questions. Now this opportunity has been lost. Don’t you think that someone will go look for the profile of the one who gave the answer to put a virtual plus sign?
- Not very convenient usability
Perhaps this is a matter of time, but so far I am not comfortable using it. Previously, questions could be added to favorites and they were stored in the same place as the posts. Now you can subscribe to the question (and the favorites were moved there), but all the favorites in one place are much better.
I will not talk about different bugs now, for example, about jumps in the sidebar when scrolling on a tablet or about an empty space on the right. I will not say about the competence of the respondents.
