Jasmine IM and Jimm Multi removed from Google Play at Mail.ru Group request
Last night, two of the most popular ICQ-enabled clients were removed from Google Play: Jimm Multi and Jasmine IM.
Proofs are simple:
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=en.net.jimm
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=en.ivansuper.jasmin

According to the developer Jasmine IM, the condition for returning the program to the Market is the removal of the ICQ protocol.
Whether other alternative clients will be prosecuted is a major issue of our time. Passion for AOL seems to be returning.
UPD:
Commented by Sergey Kravtsov, CEO of the company developing QIP:
Comments on the director of the Instant Messaging Mail.Ru Group Igor Ermakov:
It seems that Ermakov is inclined to agree with a market colleague about the possible damage to the number of protocol users.
Nevertheless, both the commentators on Roy and I personally have a question:

Previously, AOL methodically blocked alternative clients at the protocol level. From the comments of the Jimm project team, we also learn that today's incident is an administrative accident, an initiative of the Israeli office.
This is the second ICQ fakap in communications with the Israeli office, which is becoming public. Last time, the head office was launched by AskoAgent without warning Tel Aviv marketing.
Proofs are simple:
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=en.net.jimm
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=en.ivansuper.jasmin
Now you can download Jasmine IM (.apk) from jasmine.im

Well, it’s clear that users will find where to attach themselves. Strange decisions are of course made. It seems that ICQ decided with its own hands to simply strangle everything beautiful that surrounded them and give competitors just their users, which are not many =)))
Comments on the director of the Instant Messaging Mail.Ru Group Igor Ermakov:
At the request of ICQ, a client was removed from Google Play that violated the license agreement and suggested that users download an alternative ICQ client for money, while not having any agreements with ICQ. The application has become unavailable only to new users for download, it works for old users. Technically, we do not block the application.
The situation with Jimm is a misunderstanding. Together with the developer, we resolve this issue in order to return the application as soon as possible. ”

Nevertheless, both the commentators on Roy and I personally have a question:
It is not clear where and what was offered for the money. Jasmine IM was always a free client and did not contain ads, and the donate version did not contain the client itself and was just a way to thank the author at will without changing the functionality of the application itself.
