New Year’s Battle of Santa Claus and Santa Claus, as well as a few words about Golang
Even on the eve of the last new year, I had one crazy idea: the New Year’s battle of Santa Claus and Santa Claus, but by the will of fate the project was never launched, although the domain was purchased and the project was almost ready. A year passed, a little bit of free time appeared, and I still decided to bring the site to mind and put it into free swimming.
The site is a simple voting ballot through social networks. I think nothing more to say about him. The request for the design didn’t kick much, I didn’t have enough for more.
Last year I wrote this project on node.js (express) and Redis, and in this I decided to rewrite all this stuff (although the code there is generally at least) to go (revel framework), and as a storage I decided to use a simple file with json since there are only two applicants, and most likely there will be no new ones.
Generally go impresses me. But apparently it is still not very popular (although it was the language of 2009 according to some resource) and most of the projects on github are abandoned. It is understandable - the authors alone cannot pull the loop for a long time, and judging by the stars there are not so many users (not the fact that the author himself uses what he writes :)).
Although there are few positive things, ORM hood and the new go-start framework have recently appeared., which seems to be used in a real project, which gives hope for a bright future.
On this, perhaps, the stream of my thoughts runs out. Good luck to everyone in the coming year, success for all 200% and more interesting projects at work.
My creation: dmvssc.ru , ( http://dmvssc.com )
Golang: golang.org
Revel: github.com/robfig/revel
Go-start: github.com/ungerik/go-start (don't be fooled by you an abundance of packages, most of them are just blank discs)
Hood: github.com/eaigner/hood

A bit of history
