Group Stream Status

A record of my report from RIT-2012 became available, at which, at the request of Oleg Bunin, I tried to reveal the topic of creating conditions for creative work in the group:
    • What kills creativity motivation?
    • How to create and maintain a thread state?
At the end, I illustrated what was said with examples from the open-source UsabilityLab project for the SpinPlaces startup.

Here are brief abstracts for those who don't like to watch long videos:
    • An activity has an optimum of motivation at which it is most effective.
    • The soul oscillates between boredom and grief. Autothelial conditions arise when the complexity of the task corresponds to human capabilities.
    • In these states, a person becomes overconcentrated.
    • Criticism, lack of feedback, loneliness, distrust, accountability, fear of making mistakes, etc. kill motivation.
    • Pair (group) work allows you to better keep the focus on the task. If one participant has lost attention, they will be returned to work by colleagues (their attention to work).
    • For a team to work productively, it must pass the task through itself. The task launched from above leaves people with many questions that prevent them from focusing on solving the problem.
    • The best players of the team are people from the middle of the Maslow pyramid - they are no longer hungry (need does not distract them), and they are not yet “giants of thought” capable of breaking the team spirit, introducing an imbalance with their disproportionate weight.
    • It is dangerous not only to change, but also to update the team with new people during the course of the project. New people need adaptation, they will either slow down their work or will not do what the team is doing.
    • The player must earn his team (confirm his allegiance and involvement). The team should not be disloyal people.
