Today, June 1, the acceptance of applications for the annual competition of innovative projects in the field of Internet and mobile technologies Web Ready: Internet & Mobile has started .
In 2012, Web Ready is held for the 4th time. Applications for the competition will be accepted until October 14, the Web Ready final in the format of the Investment Forum will be held on November 30 in St. Petersburg.
Web Ready is held in two main categories: the best Internet startup and the best mobile startup . Additional nominations from the jury and special nominations from partners of the competition are also planned.
The prize fund of the competition is 1,500,000 rubles .
“This year we are focusing not only on Internet projects, but also on developments in the field of mobile technologies, which will become drivers of IT development for the next few years,” says Irina Kalashnikova, organizer of the Web Ready contest . - In connection with new accents, we changed the nominations - projects, both at the seed stage and at the start-up stage, will be accepted in two main nominations - Internet and Mobile. In addition, the competition is expanding geographically - we plan to open at least 5 regional stages in Russia, as well as conduct foreign stages of Web Ready.
Over the 3 years of the competition, more than 1,400 projects from 120 cities and 14 countries took part in it . Final competition attends order500 participants, 100 of which represent investment funds . During the finals, an exhibition of Web Ready semi-finalist projects, presentations of selected finalists, speeches by special guests, as well as VC Corner, a venue for meetings of investors and projects, are held. Last year, the regional stages of the competition were held for the first time - they took place in the Volga region, Siberia and the Urals . As a result of their holding, 106 applications were attracted (in total, 579 applications were submitted for the competition in 2011). The winners of Web Ready-2011 were 12 projects, the best in the main categories were ResumUp and Shop Points .
More than 20 winners and finalists of Web Ready over the years have already attracted investment in their own projects.
