American musician put the mathematical constant Tau to music
The American musician put a mathematical constant called Tau on music. An unusual approach to numbers is written by New Scientist.
The Tau number is twice as large as the Pi number and is approximately 6.283185. Michael Blake assigned notes from the “Do” one octave to the note “Do” of the next octave of the number from 1 to 8. Then Blake took a record of the Tau number with an accuracy of 126 decimal places and lost it in accordance with the selected encoding of notes. Next, the musician arranged the resulting melody.
As previously reported, Blake put the number Pi itself to the music. However, according to the composer, Tau sounds more harmonious.

UPD. Same thing with Pi, but as for me, Tau sounds prettier
