Acer C20 Pocket Projector Review

After viewing one, that is, in our online stores I bought this miracle.
    Attention, traffic!

I got the idea to hang a large plasma in my room opposite the bed, but after looking at the cost and the functional the idea died in the bud. As a result, I looked towards the projectors - and there’s a bummer, my room is small and there’s no place where it’s a wonderful story to put . And here at work, one of the clients ordered a pico projector, remembering about this miracle, went through the reviews and what is available with us and took the Acer C20.

Let's move on to those data for now, and continue the puppy delight further

I brought this toy home and started to play ...
The first thing that struck me was that there was no adequate paper instruction, as it later turned out it wasn’t needed, because everything was simple. The next thing that pleasantly surprised is that it is a huge number of all kinds of cables in the kit. That will take, HDMI cable is not included .
Also, the manufacturer did not forget about the cover from some leatherette.

In general, on the way home, of course, I threw off a couple of files and it was fun to display a picture of the whole house and scare people in the subway, but the main games were at home.
Having connected to the laptop, I quickly installed it on a tripod, by the way it is not included in the kit either, and watched a movie for half a night, then turning it off I got a burn. I did not expect that such a baby is capable of such. In general, I was pleased with the quality of the picture. The day has come and I took it with me. Disappointment befell me immediately. In daylight, the picture is not visible at all ...

But I was not depressed, since I am friends with the soldering iron and I understand the electronics very well.
When I first came to work, I took it apart.
Inside, I really did not find anything interesting, only a small board and an extensive number of radiators. Having closed the projector, I decided to google the names of the chips from the projector. And the very first link I got to the service manual for the animal. My surprise was not a chapel.
In general, for those who are too lazy to download, go to the service: Menu - Menu - Menu - Left - Left - Menu
All the actions that you will do there you do at your own peril and risk, but I can say with confidence that twisting the settings I improved the quality of the picture but also reduced the life of the diodes in the same way, so be careful.

    To summarize:
For home use (watching a movie in the evenings) an ideal option for your money.
With us, it costs an average of 2300 UAH.

    Pros:
    Small size
    Omnivorous formats

    Inconvenient focus adjuster
    Video needs to be converted
    Weak brightness during the day
    No shutter for the lens
    No tripod

Video in operation (alas, not mine, no photo or video camera ):
Alas, it did not interfere here IT

PS. I apologize for the photo from the Internet, there is no
PPS camera . I will be happy to answer any
UPD question . His firmware seems to be on Linux, how would I get access?
UPD2 At the request of the workers, I post a photo of the inside and a photo where you can see the diode driver.
