Taiwanese company introduced a new type of flash drives

I remember, on Habr once they talked about Chinese flash drives with just wild capacitance values indicated on the case, 250 GB or more. In fact, these flash drives turned out to be a normal fake (who would doubt it), with a gigabyte of memory at best. But the other day there was information about really capacious flash drives from the Taiwanese manufacturer ITRI.

These devices were presented at one of the electronics exhibitions, Display, held in Taiwan. So, ITRI at this exhibition showed their flash drives (physical dimensions are very small), the capacity of which, depending on the model, is 16 GB - 2 TB. I remember a few years ago I was happy to purchase a 4 gigabyte flash drive, believing that it would be enough for me for almost my whole life. And then 2 terabytes at once (though, for some reason, less capacious drives were presented at that show, with the assertion that 2 TB flash drives are being prepared by the company for release).

According to the manufacturer, these drives are compatible with USB 3.0. And yes, there are no more data. Neither the release date, nor the possible cost of these devices, there is no information at all. Most likely, flash drives will go on sale after an international agreement regarding USB 3.0, but it seems like external hard drives and other devices running on USB 3.0 have been running for more than a year.

To create a new technology, ITRI collaborated with the more famous manufacturer Transcend, the name of this company is also on the demo copy of the flash drive.
