Space Odyssey 2011
Last year, exactly on the eve of New Year's holidays on Habré, a post appeared about the journey of green Android into space . Craftsmen from Google in Caliphia launched seven weather balloons into the stratosphere, equipping each of them with a Nexus S phone to be able to receive data from their sensors (GPS, gyroscope, accelerometer and magnetometer).

On July 15 this year, the flagship Galaxy S II will live up to its name: our colleagues from the Japanese division of Samsung will launch it into the stratosphere using a similar weather balloon. It is expected that the device will gain a height of more than 30,000 meters above the earth's surface, and it will take him about 90 minutes. The flight will be broadcast live on the Internet through the USteam service. Everyone will have the opportunity to send their message from their account on Mixi, Facebook or Twitter to the space surfing(in fact, stratospheric, but it doesn’t sound so pretty) the space of the gadget. In addition, seven popular Japanese musicians dedicated their songs to this event, capturing the flight of the Galaxy S II in world culture. :)
All project updates can be monitored on the official.
