Buying a ticket on anywayanyday.com? Make sure you are not sick!

    In this post - my sad story of buying tickets on anywayanyday.com website , the experience of communicating with their terrible service, as well as the dying hope of receiving hard-earned, unused money.

    Such a strange post title is due to a simple fact. In August last year, I bought round-trip tickets to the United States from anywayanyday.com for a total of 41 thousand rubles. I had to go to a scientific conference. Unfortunately, two days before the flight, he fell ill with the flu and canceled the reservation. After recovering, he sent them an e-mail with a certificate of illness requesting a refund.
    Just a couple of hours later they answered that the documents were sent to the United States to Delta airline, which will consider them and make a decision in about a month (by the way, I specially translated a notary illness certificate for this from a notary). Wrote in a month - they answered that Delta did not write anything. I wrote another month later - no response to the letter. Strange, I thought, they used to answer during the day. I am writing one more thing - there is no answer. One more - no. (By the way, from that time the support service has NEVER answered my email).
    I call the support service - the standard answer, Delta is silent. I’m starting to think about a lawsuit, but then the work pounced, and somehow I forgot about the problem for several months.
    Winter is over - and I came out of hibernation: I remembered about my money that is on anywayanyday. I went to the site, saw links to vkontakte, facebook and twitter. I wrote to all their groups :)
    In a day, the answer is “We'll figure it out”. After a couple of days, the robot replies to the mail - the return is issued, the money will go to the card. Now attention! I paid for the ticket in cash through the Euroset service :) I call the support service - they say they will transfer it through the Contact system within two days. I choose a bank, send it to the post office, duplicate the choice by a call - everything is ok, we will transfer it.
    Five days have passed. No translation yet. For two days in a row, all calls to the support service are transferred to a person who is not currently in the office. He asked that this person contact me during his working hours - to which the answer is “This will not work.” Why? "It’s not customary with us, you call yourself." The hope of getting money goes out ...
    Why did I write this post? Of course, I will continue to deal with this company, 40 thousand are not superfluous for me. But he wrote not in order to "poke", but in order to warn you. The website at anywayanyday.com is excellent, issuing tickets is convenient and pleasant. But God forbid you have any problems - get ready for unanswered letters, strange answers from operators and almost an annual wait.
    Nevertheless, I want to pay tribute to the employee of the company, who follows the groups on facebook, vkontakte - he answers questions very quickly, and it seems that he initiated the return process.

    UPDATE: This morning, at the request of a social media specialist, I was contacted and informed about the transfer of money. Already in the afternoon I successfully received them. Almost an annual saga ended successfully.
