Web standards in Kiev, September 18-19

This autumn, Kiev web developers are lucky: on the weekend of September 18 and 19, two events are awaiting them at once: a meeting of Web Stanadrds Days and a master class called Modern Layout .

Web standards days

Our big tent " Web Standards " has reached Kiev! You can find out how it was in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Minsk and Riga on the Events page of our flagship website. In Kiev, the following program is expected:

1. About designing interfaces and a little about Adobe Fireworks. Vadim Patsev (Yandex)
2. Introduction to Web Performance: W3C, Webkit, IE9 and the Future. Nikolay Matsievsky (WEBO Software)
3. The web is crooked. Rebirth SVG. Vadim Makeev (Opera Software)
4. ... and several others, the program is being specified.

The meeting will be held in the conference hall of the Mir Hotel at 70, October 40th Anniversary Avenue. Speeches will begin at 11 a.m. Participation in the meeting is free , you just need to register on the site by sending a straightforward form.

Modern layout

Well, on Sunday, your humble servant will hold a three-in-one workshop and talk about aspects of modern typesetting: semantics, styles, and graphics. The structure of the master class is as follows:

1. HTML: semantics, naming, techniques and principles of working with code
2. CSS: style management, hacks, backward compatibility
3. Graphics: slicing, optimization, combining
4. ... and answers to questions
