Wake up right

    What time do you wake up? I’m not talking about the moment when the annoying alarm clock rings and you have to crawl out from under the warm blankets, I ask about the hour when you feel cheerful in every corner of the body, thoughts become clear, eyes are alive, and movements are clear and dexterous. Before some changes in my life, there were days when I never woke up all day, went back to bed.

    Have you ever taken your blood pressure? I am sure that many do not even know what it should be. Didn’t catch yourself thinking that your hands or feet are constantly freezing? If you have thought about at least one question and you have no problems with the cardiovascular system, hypertension, circulatory disorders of the brain, thrombophlebitis, malignant tumors or blood diseases, you should be interested in my personal experience of introducing such a banal thing into your life as a contrast shower . It is about my experience that I want to share with you and I will be glad if someone supplements my observations with facts or personal achievements.

    Six months ago, instead of physical exertion in the morning to "disperse the blood," I began to take a hot shower, ending with dousing with cold water. In terms of vigor and freshness of thought, I felt like after a run. After some time, having studied the matter a little, I began to take a contrast shower. The effect was amazing!

    There are many techniques. They differ in the intervals between the change of water, the order of pouring body parts, temperature ... these moments, it seems to me, are subjective. General tips are as follows:

    • Constancy
      In any health-related business, whether it is physical education, proper nutrition or sex, without constancy is nowhere.
    • You need to start gradually.
      Do not immediately go into boiling water, then to dive into the freezer. It can end badly. I also do not advise you to hang out with cool and warm water, you can get the opposite effect - frequent illnesses as the nervous system and immunity are not boosted.
    • First we get used to warm water, then we turn on the hot
      Body must get used to, wake up and at least a little aware of what is happening.
    • It is advisable to change the water at least 3 times.
      Pouring cold water is not a contrast shower.
    • Do not direct a stream of ice water or boiling water at the head and other intimate parts of the body.
      This threatens vision impairment, hair loss, prostatitis and many other unpleasant things.
    • Finish with cool water
    • Consult a doctor.
      You may not be aware that a contrast shower is contraindicated for you.

    I’ll try to name the minuses of these procedures, although I’m on the other side of the barricades. For the nervous system, a contrast shower is a shake. Such measures do not always lead to a positive result. Vessels narrow and expand when the temperature changes. A strong narrowing of the vessels can lead to spasm, as a result, impaired blood circulation. An improper temperature balance can contribute to frequent illnesses. From too hot water, theoretically, you can get an extensive burn. If there are contraindications, a contrast shower will lead to their development.

    Now about your experience. When I wake up, I do light exercises (tilts, turns, rotations), then I climb into the shower, turn on the warm water and brush my teeth. Turn on the hot. After a minute, I abruptly change to a cold one, directing the shower head to my chest, arms, circular movements on my stomach, feet. After 30-40 seconds I change the water. Everywhere it is advised to end up cool, but I like ice more. Then rubbing with a towel and full of strength and energy I go to have breakfast. I spend 10-20 minutes on the entire morning ritual, a charge of vigor is enough until lunch.

    Some facts. Annual medical examination allowed to trace the reaction of the body. In 2008, the state was recorded before the contrast shower, 2009 - semi-annual results, 2010 - one and a half year effect. I almost stopped getting sick (only vaccinations save from viruses). Blood pressure and cardiogram returned to normal. Skin condition has improved. You should not expect a miracle, but a shift for the better is quite noticeable. Water consumption, based on meter readings, increased slightly - 1-2 cubic meters. And most importantly - only positive emotions, cheerfulness, clarity of thought and just a good mood for the whole day!
