Today, comrade Hexxeh announced the launch of a new assembly of Chromium OS , which is code-named Vanilla. On his blog, he gives the build a beta label. He also emphasizes that this assembly may still not be stable enough for some people, but seem quite stable for others.
By downloading this beta build, you should be aware that its performance is not guaranteed at all. There were no user tests, we simply mark some assemblies as “tested” to show that they load and have a basic level of functionality. Nevertheless, if you started the assembly (there is every chance for this), you can expect to work with the latest version of Chromium OS.

Hexxeh clarifies that the new Chromium OS Vanilla is actually an unmodified version, unlike his previous work, Chromium OS Zero and Flow. That is, the source code is provided by Google developers in its original form.
This means that you don’t have to wait any longer for my releases to try the latest and coolest version that Chromium OS offers. You can simply download the latest version of Chromium OS Vanilla from the link below and work with the latest official build.

Below is a list of the main changes that have affected the assembly:
  • The authorization window in the system has been redone - your username is now remembered, and you can use the webcam to log in to the system
  • 3G support
  • Work with the Chrome Web Store
  • Much oh oh faster
  • Official Chromium OS updater (Hexxeh servers, however, are not yet ready for this)
  • Browser Sync

Further details about the new Chromium OS distribution will appear over time. As Hexxeh himself explained, due to the fact that there is almost no human participation in the production of daily updated assemblies, the entire project as a whole is not protected from errors and risks.
Those who are not afraid of the prospect of being disappointed in Chromium OS Vanilla can download the build here .
