Chrome has built-in PDF reader

In versions of the latest developer build of Chrome for Windows and Mac, a built-in PDF reader has appeared. It can be enabled on the chrome: // plugins page. The developers promise that this plugin will soon appear in the version for Linux, and in the next developer builds the plugin will already be enabled by default.

PDF files are displayed in the same way as HTML pages. For example, page scaling and page search work exactly as users expect. Work on the quality of PDF display is still underway.

To protect users, documents are opened in an isolated environment. The plugin will automatically receive updates and users will not have to worry about manual updates.
