Since the launch of iGoogle in March 2005, we have been actively developing personalization features to make the search as relevant as possible for you. For example, more recently, in March, we suggested that users mark with the stars those search results that they found most interesting. Thanks to this option, the next time the user enters a query into the search bar, the selected links will appear in the “Starred Results” section at the top of the page. Today we are moving to a new level of personalization. Now you have the opportunity to decorate your Google homepage with your favorite picture or photograph. Log in to your Google Account and upload an image from your computer or select from personal or public albums hosted on Picasa.
You can use any image: a photograph of a loved one or pet, a favorite place, a collage you created, etc. All images will look great on the home page www.google.ru ! If you are tired of your picture, you can always change it or turn it off.
In the near future you will see the link “Change Background” in the lower left corner of the home page www.google.ru . Use it to add your own image. To do this, you must be logged in to Google.
Want to show what your page looks like? You can share it with us using the Twitter service, where you can post a screenshot indicating the hashtag #myGooglepage for easy search.
