In his youth (2009), the service was called Looniesdesk, then the team changed somewhat, the service was redone, improved and put into operation.
What is financial accounting and why is it needed, I will not describe. Recently, this topic has become increasingly relevant and popular.
So what is the essence and salt?
Concept
Most products in this area are based on the good old principle of subscription. There is free functionality (if any), and additional “goodies” are shipped to premium users as a kind of tariff plan.
We approached the matter differently. The system is based on payment management: creation, systematization, structuring, summation, etc. We try to make these operations as convenient as possible. You can enter payments one at a time and in groups, correct the amount and record the fact of payment - right in the table, without going to the payment editing page. There is a function of reminding and repeating payments with a certain frequency, there is the ability to associate payments with assets (wallets) so that when a payment is received, the amount in the wallet is automatically recalculated, there is a list of currencies (thanks, google), you can configure filters for the list of payments and so on. All this - immediately and for free.
The key feature is that at the level of this core there is no binding to specific services, such as charting, reporting, and so on. These services and services are implemented through plug-in applications. Technically, this means “microkernel” and rich expansion options.
The user decides what services he needs and, therefore, which applications to connect to him. This approach allows the service to "grow" with the user.
At the moment, there are programs in our application store:
- Filling in declarations for entrepreneurs and organizations on a simplified tax system
- Formation of invoices and acts on payments or groups of payments, with the ability to track documents submitted
- Consultations of professional accountants in the “question-answer” format
- Generation of documents of payment orders
- Generation of account statements
- Export to XML and CSV
Some applications are bundled (that is, connected as a unit). So, declarations, consultations, bills, acts and payment orders make up the package “Your own business”. There are also trial versions of paid applications.
Applications look like a pop-up window in the workspace:
Applications have access to payments (which the user has allowed) and to information from the contact book that allows applications to exchange information about counterparties - for example, by filling in the supplier’s bank details in the account, payment orders are no longer needed drive them again.
We have developed a programming interface for writing applications by third-party developers. A wiki guide will be released shortly. Creating applications on the Finobox platform, the developer concentrates on implementing the business logic of the application, and Finobox will take care of user authorization, entering, processing and storing information and collecting fees for using the application.

About reliability
Finobox is located on our own dedicated server with daily backups. For secure access, you can use the SSL protocol. Geographically, our servers are located so as to protect themselves and our customers as much as possible from any nuances from any “authorities”.
About personal data
To register in the service, our users do not need to provide a first and last name, even the mailbox may not be real (although in this case the functions related to the mail, such as notifications, reminders, etc.) will not be available.
