HyperCMS - fast CMS out of the box
Perhaps I’ll start with the story of the idea of creating HyperCMS tariffs announced at the 1C-Bitrix Conference in January . Since Parking.ru has already been hosting Windows.ru for more than 10 years, we try to listen to our users and often receive complaints about the slow operation of such "heavy" CMS as 1C-Bitrix on shared hosting and as it turned out later on on VDS.
And we had the idea to create an “ideal” image of a Hyper-V virtual machine that would include an operating system, database, web server, already configured for specific CMS, and all this with selected VDS performance parameters so that users can simply buy a ready-made solution “out of the box” "And immediately get a fast system.
To begin with, we installed 1C-Bitrix PHP without settings on a fresh virtual machine from our HyperHalf 512MB RAM tariff plan, and frankly speaking, we were not pleased with the result of PHP working on Windows. After a series of tests built into Bitrix, we got the following picture:

PHP on Linux was clearly faster than on Windows, and significantly, and the overall performance left much to be desired.
After that, the tricky work began with optimizing the OS, tuning the database, working with caching executable PHP code, the results have grown, but it seemed to us not enough. We contacted Microsoft and they advised us to try using the new WinCache development instead of Zend for caching PHP code for Windows.
At the time the optimization began, it was not very stable, but thanks to the operational release of new builds that took into account our bug reports, we managed to achieve more stable operation. As a result of the tests, we received a sharp increase in productivity.
But we still included Zend in the final version, this was due to the fact that WinCache is not able to work with the coded trial version of Bitrix (in versions for Joomla! Where there is no encoding, we will use WinCache since it gives the best results)
Well, on top of that, we decided to consult with our partners from 1C-Bitrix, whom we have known and been friends for a long time, thanks to them we were able to refine the configuration to the ideal and get the following result:

With a reference of 30 points set for CMS core execution speed, the value of 35 on the youngest tariff plan is more than worthy, and given the special price for HyperCMS on Windows it’s so excellent.
Now, together with the developers, we are actively working to optimize a few more CMS that will appear in the list available in the near future - these are UMI.CMS and Joomla !, and a little later WordPress and a number of other technologies built on both PHP and .NET technologies.
UPD: We do not stop optimizing and will update images and configurations for HyperCMS tariffs with the release of new versions of CMS and server components.
