You do not often find in the press news about the capture of cracker hackers for DDoS. And here’s a freshman from Ufa:
The phrase “from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment” was the most resonant rumor, because you involuntarily put yourself next to these folk craftsmen. I remember, not so long ago there was a post about similar extortionists on a habr. The site lay and the money demanded very uncompromisingly. Saved a habrayuzer who volunteered to volunteer to help. I decided to go through and-no in the search for other capture DDoS'erov: In Dnepropetrovsk “took” a hacker: DDoS by order
Also fresh, dated November 5th. Everything is very similar, with the only difference being that it worked alone and did not intimidate a fake document. The first difference is very significant, since if there were at least two of them, this would not be the first, but the second paragraph of Art. 361 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine , and this is only imprisonment (for 3-6 years instead of 0-3) without any options there with hitting only 600-1000 tax-free minima of the RFP (17 UAH * 600-1000 = 10,200-17,000 UAH ≈ 1275-2125 $) or restriction of freedom.
I have not met more articles on this topic in our countries. But this is enough to conclude that now we are being caught and punished for DDoS, and it’s very harsh. These achievements of the security agencies personally surprised me. Although the severity of punishment was greatly overdone. I think that six months in prison will be enough for any IT specialist to forever abandon cyber-gopnicism and live a civilized programmer life.
