Yota changes Wi-Fi to WiMax in Acer and Asus laptops
It turns out that Yota quietly launched a campaign to replace Wi-Fi modules in Acer and Asus laptops with dual-system ones - Wi-Fi / WiMAX. The action is shareware - the money is taken only for the module itself (1900 rubles). You can upgrade your laptop at service centers in Moscow, Ufa and St. Petersburg .
Unfortunately, I did not find the cost of Wi-Fi / WiMAX-modules as such - therefore I can’t assess the benefits of this offer compared to self-installation, however, in general it looks quite attractive - primarily because when replacing the module in an authorized service center Warranty applies.
By the way, the girl on the phone in RSS although it was stupid in a terrible way, but still said that this promotion also applies to owners of other brands of laptops, and not just the letter A.
