The new products are developed on the basis of the ESET NOD32 antivirus kernel version 4, the architecture of which made it possible to optimize it for Mac OS X and Linux operating systems in a short time. It is based on ThreatSenseTM technology, which allows you to detect both known and new threats that have not yet been entered into signature databases. The solutions use the current ESET signature database, to which malware signatures for Mac OS X and Linux have been added. Thanks to Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS) technology, ESET solutions protect against external exposure attempts that could adversely affect the security of Mac OS X and Linux systems.

ESET solutions for Mac OS X and Linux have significantly expanded scanning options - the user can configure the viewing depth, file size and object scan time, receive statistics about the process of scanning PC files, the number of detected threats and real-time system status reports; automatic scanning of removable media is also provided. The anti-virus database is updated depending on the user's settings - upon rebooting the PC or immediately after the appearance of new signatures.
