UK mobile operators began their collaboration with Twitter by introducing sms support on Twitter. Today they have gone even further and now Twitter supports MMS.
Kevin Tau , CEO of Twitter, made the deal with mobile operators Vodafone, O2 and Orange.
For using the service, the operator will not take any additional fees, the MMS message in this case will cost the same as sending the MMS within the network.
Sending such a twitter-mms is very simple - you need to enter 86444 as the recipient's number. After sending, your mms gets to the service specially created for this service - Snapshot . A link will be generated there for sending to Twitter.
Whether this service is convenient, time will tell, but I personally think that using a bundle such as symbian + gravity or iphone + twitterrific is more convenient and cheaper. And the fact that it is faster is for sure.
