Doshirak: Project One. What is Confiture and what does it eat with?

Three months ago, we announced our departure for free swimming , promising to complete three projects in six months. Today we want to present on Habrahabr the first of our projects.

Confiture is a program for backing up and restoring files. We took a boring and routine procedure and made a service that is simple and fun to use. Files added to Confiture can be recovered in months or even years. In this case, you do not need to buy additional hard drives to store data - just an Internet connection. All files are stored on Amazon S3 servers.

A parting time ribbon, the whole structure of your files on any of the selected days, minimized panels, adding files with one click - you just need to see it.



Everything is easy and clear - these are your files; yes, they are saved; yes, they are on the server; Yes, they can be restored. Confiture saves both user-selected files and folders, and entire groups - documents, photos, music, videos.

Confiture is almost the only online backup system released for the Russian-speaking market. For some regions, the cost of unlimited access is still too high, but this situation is constantly improving. We believe that after some time, online backup will become the main one for home users. The internal server implementation allows you to easily change the billing system and file storage server, replacing them, for example, with similar provider systems.
