Today is a big update across Russia for high resolution data. What I noticed - data were added on Perm, long meridian images along the Ural Range from west and east, with summer and winter. High-resolution data was added in the region of the oil and gas field of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.
The data is supplemented by the new GeoEye satellite, as written. It seemed strange that it was written about summer pictures, and 2009 is highlighted - in my opinion there is at least one mistake. But if you do not find fault with the little things, then the update is wonderful. Particularly pleased with the new bridge in Perm with all interchanges and the area of the designed railway on the eastern slope of the Urals.
In Google Maps today everything is as before, there are no new pictures. The layer of roads has been slightly updated, but in Russia there is nothing new here.
The new data can be checked by clicking on the View in GMaps button of interest in GE. Since GMaps has old data, we can easily compare them. Find differences in yourself!
