In addition to closing non-core projects , during the crisis, Google is trying to get the most profit from the remaining. A new initiative in this area is the expansion of the affiliate program on YouTube , which allows one-click access to the store’s website (iTunes or Amazon), where the goods shown in the video are sold.
The YouTube eCommerce affiliate program was launched back in the fall, but only for the US and the UK. Now its actions are expanded to users from Germany, Spain and the Netherlands.
In addition, affiliate links have now been made more visible and placed directly on the video frame area (via a pop-up transparent menu).
