Atariology
- Transfer

The main point of Atariology is that everything in life can be comprehended if we consider life as a video game or a simulation. The term “Atariology” refers to the philosophy of world views as if it were a video game.
Manifesto
We believe that all aspects of life can be fully understood
if we consider life as a video game or a simulation. This situation has the following consequences:
Existential consequences
1. If life is a game, then death is the end of the current game.
2. The goal of the game is to try to figure out the purpose of the game.
3. The ideal simulation of life may appear in the future. To be considered ideal, the simulation
must be able to reproduce the same sensory experience as life.
Moral consequences
1. The definition of good and evil depends on the version of the game.
2. Some people in the game are real players, while others are characters
created by the software. It is impossible to distinguish real players from the characters of the game.
Consequences regarding immortality
1. If it were possible to create a perfect simulation, it would be possible to create another
ideal simulation inside the first. Therefore, it would be possible to create an endless hierarchy of
ideal simulations. Theoretically, a person can achieve immortality by moving through ideal
simulations endlessly.
Difficulties
1. It is possible that two ideal simulations will be different.
2. The game can be updated or changed during the game process so
that the player will not even suspect about it.
Some reasons why life might be a video game:
1. Ghosts might be buggy video game characters.
2. Some games support cheats or cheat codes. This could explain the possible existence of
magic or miracles.
3. The big bang - just how to turn on the TV.
4. De-ja vu exists because if reality is a video game, then you must have played this game before.
5. Sleeping is like pausing a game or loading the next level.
6. There is always a better player than you.
