Note: below is a translation of the “Browser Page Load Performance” note by John Resig, in which he reviews the test environment from Steve Souders to analyze client browser performance. My comments are further in italics.
Steve Souders has contributed a lot to improving browser performance on page loading and client optimization more than anyone else. While at Yahoo! he was responsible for YSlow (a great tool for measuring the performance of your site) and wrote a book on improving website performance - High Performance Web Sites . He currently works at Google, but still does the same thing: makes web page loading a little faster.
I was delighted with the release of one of his new projects - UA Profiler (the project started a long time ago, but there were no good reviews of its work yet ). This tool can be run in your browser to find out its current capabilities regarding client performance, which in one way or another limit the page loading speed in it.
