ThinkPad - a test of music and a jackhammer

ThinkPad notebooks have been tested with the Mil-SPEC * standard set and are able to withstand the most extreme weather conditions. What's so surprising, you ask? After all, we have previously told you about the six real survival stories of the ThinkPad . But can he survive with the connected power? For example, playing music during extreme trials? There is only one way to find out ...

    * Mil-SPEC - a set of standards designed to test devices for durability, strength and reliability. These tests are based on extreme weather conditions, including temperature, pressure, dust, humidity and vibration resistance tests.

Step 1: record a music video

Without thinking twice, we went to the studio to the world beatbox champion Rahzel. Inspired by the strength of the ThinkPad, he recorded a new track especially for us. Krutotenyushka, right? As soon as the track was recorded - we just had to make a video for it.

Step 2: Download the video on the ThinkPad X1 Yoga

It is becoming more and more interesting ...

    Step 3: Start the torture!

Immediately after pressing "PLAY" there is no going back. ThinkPad and Rahzel went through seven painful trials. That's how it was ...

    Freezer

Our hands reached the industrial freezer with a temperature of -20 ° Celsius. ThinkPad now reminds Hugh Glass of the k / f "Survivor", is not it?

    Sauna

Something has become hot ... Anyway, the ThinkPad is more confident than our team of engineers. Here it is so hot and humid that the film crew does not stand a couple of minutes.

    The

ThinkPad sawmill passed the Mil-SPEC dust resistance test. We took a grinding machine and a power saw to fill up the laptop with sawdust to the maximum! However, the ThinkPad did not even flinch.

    Engine

We tied our trusty ThinkPad to the engine and increased the speed as much as possible. But the video continued to work without fail.

    Welding machine

Sparks flew as soon as the welding started, but even that was not enough ... We took out a circular saw and blasted it directly over the ThinkPad. To our surprise, not a single bit was missed.

    Pool

Our subject needs a short break, so we took him to the pool. The water test was successful when the BMX-er jumped into the pool again, and again, and again!

    Iii's jackhammer

... The final! Concrete and heavy machinery - what awaits us? Apparently, nothing. Asphalt crumbled right into the keyboard, but the video continued to play.

Step 4: take a minute to assess the strength of the ThinkPad

After such monstrous tests, we are not even sure that we can call the ThinkPad X1 Yoga a laptop. In part, he resembles a wild beast, just what? For expert opinion, we turned to creative executive directors Philip Marchington and John Cornett.

“This is wolverine. Hard, fast, full of energy. Survive anywhere, ”Cornett shared with us. Marchington expressed a different point of view: “The ThinkPad is such a 300 kg armadillo with Stephen Hawking's intellect. Or thick-skinned ankylosaurus ".

Both opinions seem sufficiently accurate to confirm the fact: the ThinkPad has a special weight category.

By the way, here's the video itself:

But a small bonus is a video about what remains behind the scenes:
