Where to look for literature for term papers?

The first step is systematic library catalogs. In their respective sections you can find classics - those works on your topic that you cannot know.

The second step is abstract journals and brochures of the RSL “Abstract-bibliographic information”. In these journals you can find information about literature published in recent years.

The third step is to read the works published in recent years and found by you in abstract journals. From their bibliographic lists, information can also be found on literature worthy of attention.

The fourth step is to search the world wide web. As a search query, it makes sense to use the names of the authors of those works published in recent years that you found in abstract journals. It may be possible to find information about the scientific schools and research teams that these authors represent, about the scientific conferences in which these authors participated, and then about other reports that were heard at these conferences, about the authors of these reports, and then find other works these authors and so on.

It makes sense to conduct a search for keywords of the topic under study in specialized search engines for researchers. Examples:

    - Scholar.ru

    - Scirus.com (here I am looking for the latest English-language work on my topics)

    -Scholar.google.com

    - Academic.live.com (Microsoft search engine; I personally never manage to find anything there)

    - Scinet.cc

    - Highwire.Stanford.edu

    - Infotrieve.com

    - ScienceResearch.com

    - SpringerLink.com

Access to libraries of many universities also provide full-text electronic databases of scientific works. Contact your university library asking if they have an agreement with the owners of such databases.

In addition, it makes sense to search the electronic versions of published books:

    - Booksearch.google.com- This search engine returns published books in which search terms are found as search results. In the vast majority of cases, you won’t be able to read the entire books Google found. They are protected by copyright. But you can familiarize yourself with a particular book, its contents, read publicly available passages. Thus, it is possible to get an idea of the aspects of the problem under study, to which the authors focus on, make a conclusion about the most relevant and least developed issues. Through this search engine, you can also go to the pages of electronic stores in which you can purchase found literature.

    - Nigma.ru - this search engine, developed by undergraduate and graduate students of Moscow State University, contains the search option in electronic libraries.

The websites of scientific publishing houses may also be useful:

    - World Scientific Publishing

    - Blackwell Publishers

and other resources (if you have something to add, I will be very happy).

After you have compiled a list of references, discuss it with your supervisor. You may have missed something important.
