Updating Opera and Firefox

Today, serious vulnerabilities have been discovered in the popular browsers Opera and Firefox.

As many as three errors in the Opera browser allow an attacker to successfully attack the victim’s computer. The most unpleasant of them makes it possible to inject malicious code onto a computer using external RSS aggregators and email clients.

The Opera browser for Mac OS is also worth updating because of an unknown error when using it with Adobe Flash Player version 9.0.47.0 or older. Problems are resolved by updating the browser to version 9.24.

Firefox users need to upgrade to version 2.0.0.8. This update resolves JavaScript processing errors that could lead to data leakage from the computer.

Firefox users on Linux also need to be updated.

You must also upgrade your Thunderbird email client and SeaMonkey to version 2.0.0.8 and 1.1.5, respectively.
