From a wooden leg to a modern smart prosthesis

The German company Otto Bock has released a new version of the prosthesis called C-Leg. Looking at this miracle, we can confidently say that the era of prostheses has begun, which to some extent even surpasses real limbs in their “indicators”.

The prosthesis is equipped with a microprocessor (in the knee), which is able to track a person’s gait 50 times per second and independently adjust the hydraulics for maximum comfort. In addition, the “device” kit includes a wireless control panel, with which you can switch various operating modes.

The only minus of an amazing development that can really replace a lost limb is the cost. For the opportunity to regain the ability to move with real comfort, you will have to pay from $ 30 to $ 40 thousand.
