Coca-Cola creates a social network designed for teens with phones

According to the New York Times , Coca-Cola launches a teens social network called Sprite Yard in the U.S. this month. Users of the new service will be able to set up a personal profile, chat with friends via online chat, and also share photos. Interestingly, the social network is designed to use a mobile phone.

Having bought a bottle of Sprite and entering the code under the lid, a user of the Sprite Yard social network will be able to get original content, for example, a “cool ringtone”, or a short video clip.

Sprite Yard was launched in China last week, and Coca-Cola plans to expand the campaign worldwide and not just go with just one soda brand. Currently, Sprite Yard works only on mobile phones - according to the marketing team, Sprite is the most convenient option for teens.

Everything is just wonderful, but, as it seems to me, when creating Sprite Yard Coca-Cola did not think about parents of teenagers spending not two or three dozen dollars a month on the phone ... However, we will wait and see.
