jamendo - everything for an independent musician.

As a musician, I tried a bunch of services to publish my music.

And the most correct was jamendo.com.

Firstly, the security of your own label from outside influences.

At last.fm, anyone can create a label with your name and write whatever he wants to there, vote for photos that he think suits the artist, create descriptions, etc. Moreover, this all continues even if you are the owner of the label.
Therefore, anyone who does not want his name / label on last.fm to be staked out from the left should immediately do it himself (Valery Leontyev, for example, has already flown).

On jamendo all your hands, the album will not be published until you put a link on your site (and for each album a new validation), until you choose a license, until you fill out at least 70% of the data on the published material. And all this is checked manually, the album is not published automatically, only after manual verification, (my second album was published 4 days later).

    Secondly, they will notice you.

At the old-fashioned, but very tortured and not at all social realmusic.ru it is very difficult to find something worthwhile.

The tops usually have some vulgar, sometimes even sung, karaoke songs. for which crowds of friends vote, look for pearls in a pile of dung, of which there are plenty of them, by the way.
A common thing when you write something in the comment type: well done 5 come and you are to us.
It is also very difficult to find something on promodj.ru.
At russianpofcasting.ru it’s easier, you can publish in podsafe music and flip through a single tape; but it’s still a voice publishing service.

On jamendo, after the publication of the album, your album with a picture of 200 * 200 is on all pages, until the next installment, there is time to listen to new items, and not rummage through the stream that arrives every minute.

    Thirdly, it’s convenient to publish.

At first glance, jamendo is a little groomed, but you quickly get used to it.

Almost everything has been translated into Russian.

As with last.fm, you can create two accounts, the listener-administrator of the label and the musician himself.
But label management is not loaded separately, but simply on an adjacent tab.

For each parameter, the percentage-color scale of filling, red means something else needs to be added, otherwise they will not be published.

Music is uploaded to p2p using the tool that is installed in the system. And you can’t download MP3s, only wav, flac or aiff.

There are presets for inserting an album on sites and blogs for wordpress2, myspace, blogger.com, opera community, dotgear as well as xhtml and html.

Fourthly, it’s convenient to listen and enjoy chatting.

There is a separate pop-up player where you can create your own playlists, call them anything you like, and drag and drop every interesting or topic-specific playlist track there.
Playlists are also published on the first page.

Separately, you can add entire albums to your favorites.

There are five types of blog widgets where you can connect either a playlist or favorites.

This, of course, is far from all, there is still such a Spiral feature, there is a display of how many people and from which country is present, and so on.
But most of all I was pleased with the photo of the team that is working on the project, I have not seen this in any dvolevoy service)))

PS / Russian there are few so far))))
