Cisco Launches Mobile Relay Robots

If the mobile subscriber tries to leave the access zone, the mobile robot will begin to chase the “fugitive” to ensure good communication quality. A group of such repeaters can line up to the nearest base station and quickly carry out a communication channel to any remote area. A connected robot is able to follow a person in almost any terrain.

A prototype of such a unique device was shown at the military technology exhibition Military Technologies Conference in Boston. This technology is reportedly created as part of the Cisco Information on the Move project .
