In 2006, the entire Far East will be covered by the Internet

    All settlements in the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD) in 2006 will be provided with universal telephone services and Internet access. This was reported by Prime-Tass with reference to the video conference of the Minister of Information Technology and Communications Leonid Reiman.

    According to him, for this, as part of the implementation of universal communication services in 2006, it is planned to install more than 2000 payphones in the Far Eastern Federal District and open more than 900 points of collective Internet access. Currently, this goal has already been achieved in the distant moon of Kamchatka, where 100% of the settlements are provided with universal communication services.
