Belarusians win programming contest Google Hash Code



    The Belarusian team YMTeam consisting of Roman Udovichenko and Sergey Zhgirovsky became the winner of the final round of the programming competition Google Hash Code 2016 , which took place on March 19 in the Paris office of Google.

    Both Belarusians work in the Minsk branch of Yandex.

    In the final, Belarusians scored 1,017,218 points, ahead of the Russian Ababahalamaha team (991,562 points) and the Die Bergbokbende team from South Africa (964,632 points).



    The preliminary online round on February 11 was attended by over 17,000 students from EMEA countries - Europe, Middle East and Africa. 52 best teams from 22 countries reached the final round. By the way, the third result in the preliminary round was shown by the Ukrainian team UnintelligibleTeamName, but in the final took only 34th place.



    As a prize, the winners received Google products with a minimum value of 190 euros.
