    Reports

“Asynchronous Microservices - Vert.x or Spring?” (Alexander Fedorov, CTO at TextBack)

Alexander will talk about the TextBack service. About how they migrate from Vert.x to Spring, what difficulties they encounter and how they survive. The report will be of interest to those who want to start working with asynchronous services and want to choose a framework for this.

Alexander has over 8 years of industrial development experience in Java, and now he enjoys living in a startup. He graduated from the graduate school of the Polytechnic, taught the students the course "Neuroinformatics and Neotechnology", on the meringue of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and Dell EMC taught the DevOps course.

Advanced Gradle Build (Nikita Tukkel, Backend Team Lead at Genestack)

Nikita will describe solutions to specific problems that are characteristic of large and super-large builds. The report contains very little information about the fundamentals of Gradle, some of its parts may not be well understood for those who are not familiar with Gradle at all. The report will be of interest to those who are worried about the problems of building an effective build system in a project, the number of modules in which confidently exceeds one hundred.

Nikita has been programming for over 30 years, of which the last 15 years have been in Java. Electronic workflow, fintech, and now - bioinformatics. He loves Gradle, Kotlin, and everything that doesn't look like J2EE.
