October. Revolutionary Security Approaches
Information security threat vectors continue to change. To come up with an approach that provides the most complete protection for data and systems, this fall Acronis is hosting the first global summit on revolutionary approaches to cybersecurity. For those who are interested in the program of the event and opportunities for participation - detailed information under the cut.
Acronis Global Cyber Summit will be hosted at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami, Florida from October 13 to 16, 2019. For those who will be in other parts of the world, an online broadcast will be organized. We will organize a conference to discuss the problems of improving the protection of critical information assets, as well as IT systems of large companies and small enterprises, and invite to it:
- Company partners
- Software developers
- Researchers and scientists.
If you follow our news, you already know that Acronis has recently provided early
third - party access to its Acronis Cyber Platform . In anticipation of the conference, access to this platform will be provided to all Acronis Global Cyber Summit participants so that developers can use any functions and integrate their applications into the Acronis ecosystem. Based on the results of preparations for the forum and networking at the event, we expect to get a whole range of partner solutions that will use either individual components of Acronis Cyber Platform to protect against any threat vector, or include all elements at once, as in the upcoming release system Acronis Total Protect, Which will combine data backup, cyber defense and system management in one solution (this product will be officially presented at the conference).
Some statistics
If you look at the data collected by analysts, it becomes obvious that the industry needs
new approaches to security. For example, from 2015 to 2018, the volume of data that enterprises must manage has increased from 1.45 to 9.70 petabytes. At the same time, global losses from cybercrime reached $ 600 billion a year. Attackers are increasingly succeeding in circumventing traditional data protection systems and solutions aimed at ensuring cybersecurity. As a result, the risks of organizations around the world are constantly growing.
The conference will discuss the integration of data protection and cybersecurity technologies, as well as the creation of off-the-shelf full cyber protection systems that ensure the safety, availability, confidentiality, authenticity and security of data. The so-called SAPAS strategy, which includes all five cyber defense vectors, will be put in the spotlight by experts and industry leaders who will discuss how to provide more effective cyber defense of all categories of data, applications and systems. Indeed, according to analysts, by 2024 the market for information security systems will grow to $ 300 billion.
